Wall and floor tiler in the West Midlands, Dudley, Stourbridge. www.nptiling.co.uk

Hmmm... I am going to have to do some head scratching. I dont think that I would get on with a pull cutter as I am so used to the rubi but can also see myself getting angry with the single rail push cutters as it is a pain to see the wheel.*

SUPERCOUP! Sigma beats Monti hands down as Sir says cant see wheel. dont have boxes yet Neil will order 3 when I order the 1350

I don't need to see the wheel on my sigma s, I eye the cutting line on the tile, paralell with the rail then line up the near mark to the zero on the measuring guide then scribe and break. It is really easy.

Quite true, I do the same. I do think people dont give any tool that is different to the one they are used to a fair go.
I do remember thinking the 1st day I used a Sigma what the hell I was thinking but I have never looked back in regret.
When I returned from Oz with mine, I was the only one in the area using them...now i see them everywhere.

I have the sigma 3B, 3D and the 10M.
That says it all.
Also on a job lately I needed 4 men to lift slabs etc and one was a well kitted man with a sigma bridge saw in his van.
It was awesome as we cut angles etc on the slabs.
Very easy to use too, just set cutting wheel on each Mark and start cutting.
I'd consider one myself to replace the 10m maybe but on smaller slabs and tiles the 10M rules.

Looks like I have the cutter problem sorted thanks to Mike, he has picked up a Monti superpiuma for me off of a guy he works with and is posting it all the way down here. What a legend, thank you very much Mike![]()

The Monti is a great cutter but please do give it time and if you start having any issues then stop thinking of the way you thought when using Rubi. Many people swear by these cutters it just takes time to adjust your way of working.

Thanks Neale. I am well prepared for the change, it is going to be really odd and a pain in the back side to get used to but Il stick with it.
