disto laser measure
Hi guys, iv'e had a look at whats been discussed about laser measures. thought i might share my quest for a fully automated measure and layout system i want to set up. so far i have investigated the possibility of using the d8 leica disto laser measure with a floor and wall estimating software.i plan to use the disto to take my onsite measurements and bluetooth them directly to an estimating software on to my ipad. i have discovered that this is possible despite the disto software not being compatible with mac ipad.once set up with the correct software i will be able to take onsite measurements and produce a complete floor and wall plan together with pattern, tile details, starting points to check for cutting, etc. the ipad will then use the estimating software to produce not only a detailed wall and floor plan but it will produce a detailed quote, invoice, jobsheet, with as much detail as you want including your own preferences. you can adjust the percentage of waste you might anticipate.it can produce up to a dozen pages of info if thats what you need.i have trialled a floor and wall estimating software for the last few weeks and as i get more and more familiar with it the more i like it, i like it alot!!
so boys and girls what do you think, has anyone used
1. a leica disto d3, d5,d8, or any other laser measure with bluetooth capability?
2. a floor and wall estimating software?
3. an ipad to take measurement details?
Leica seem to have most of the quality laser measures have you seen anything else out there?
if so what do you use?
oh and by the way, are you guys still wearing a black armband.
for what its worth most of us over here will be looking for the welsh to send the french home this weekend. what do you think any predictions for the semis this weekend?
