i wouldn't be using it often deano, i've managed for years without one, i just think it would be handy for some floors
bosch then corded one but if you can get a fein
and shark blades 35mm off the tinternet

what is that type of saw called chris so i can look? thanks

i can afford one at the moment stew, i just can't justify that much for the amount of times i'd use it. i also need a new circular saw and a new planer so i'll just get a cheaper make. cheers

I bought the Bosch PMF 180 E from Amazon (£60.00 with a couple of bits), it was faulty and had to send it back, got a replacement quite quickly, got speaking to the repair chap and he informed me the BOSCH own FEIN now, have never checked this out but wouldnt suppose he'd have the need for porkies?

I'm on the market for one of these multi-cutter tools.
Not sure whether to go for 10.8v cordless or 240v.
The reviews I have read on the cordless ones are that the batteries only last 10mins
OK, you get 2 batteries with the Bosch one, but you need to let them cool down before recharging.
I would be using it for removing grout (mainly)
Any input would be much appreciated
Cheers
David

Then go for the mains version.

You get what you pay for as they say, i would go for the fein all day long, i had a play with the bosch & its ok for smaller jobs but i dont think it would take the punishment i give my multimaster.
Someone said that they wouldnt use it much, you will be surprised at the amount you will use it.
I couldnt live without mine now.

i ve had my bosch about 6 weeks now and although i don't use it every day it does all i ask of it, and at 60 or 70 quid with a guarantee you can't go wrong
Grout removal?
deffo get mains powered!
I love mine!
I can confirm that the Bosch does not really take punishment, I've had mine about 2 years and I think the last grout removal job has really worn its gearbox. It still works but when you press hard it kind of stops cutting.
After all its Bosch green so its diy, blue is proffesional. The Chalenge Extreme at Argos must be a right kids toy.

Had a green Bosch PMF and thought it was a bit underpowered. Recently bought the corded blue Bosch GOP250 and it's much better. Same power output and as well built as the Fein but got it with a few accessories and an L Boxx for about £120 all in. Much better performance from the blue Bosch, worth the extra 50 quid but don't know if the Fein can justify the premium.

I've got the Fein and worth every penny but every so often the b-q have a 20% off all bosch tools and this brings the bosch multi tool down to around £60 if you can wait for there next bosch promotion day seems a good buy
I think Lidl or Aldi not so long ago was advertising them for £30 with a 2 year warranty
fein are great, i use mine for cutting pipes, sanding and they cut neat holes in plaster board
