    Default silverline tile cutter?

HiCan you please give your advise and recommendations on tile cutters for 600 tiles.I'm currently picking up tiling as a new career and need a large tile cutter. I has a Rubi star 50 which is doing the jobs so far but require something for larger format. Rubi ts60 would be my first choice but bit too expensive at the moment.Big clinker could be an option at just over 100poundsI have also seen a silverline cutter that looks like the sigma at around 60pounds.Can you more experienced tilers give me ur opinions on these options that may help me decide which direction to goThanks

For a decent cutter you will have to up your budget... The big clinker is good but will only last for so long..

As above, big clinker does the job but will really only last for half a dozen jobs. Try to find a better cutter second hand, either the TX700 or the TX900, if you get the 900 you will be able to cut 600mm tiles diagonally.

Great cutters for ceramics but you will find that they will struggle with hard porcelains, I have a tr60 for ceramics and a TX700 and a TX1200 for porcelain thats all I'll ever need.

To be honest, if you are looking to make a career out of tiling, just don't buy cheap. Try, if you can to buy a quality cutter now. It will cost you more in the long run when you have to change it again later if you buy cheap. IMO second hand is the way to go if you are on a tight budget. Check out the like of Montolit too, not just Rubi and the Sigma battalion will no doubt add their tuppance worth too. Good luck with your search.

I've just had a look around ebay for you and to be honest there isn't much on there in the way of rubi TX, montolit on sigma second hand. I'd keep a eye out on there incase something comes up. Until then try and have a go with a good range of cutters and find which one you like best, it's no good getting a rubi if you don't get on with it!
