Default what nippers

hi

iam trying to buy a decent set of all purpose nippers..

i have been told that parrots are now obsolete and that i only need 1 set of quality nippers that will cover floor tiles and mosaics aswell...can anybody recommend a good make and where to buy...i have been told that rubi general purpose nippers suspect. also i here hoffman are good. any recommendations??

all any other makes worth considering that are good all purpose nippers. its just that i have had a few words of caution with the rubi nippers......i have put a few quid over the table this week at buy brand tools, so i am sure neil will forgive me on this one ;0)

i have used rubi nippers for years..the older models used to chip in the jaws but the newer ones are champion...and keep sharp edges for ages..it's porcelain tiles that can knack any set of nippers ... so it would be worthwhile getting some porcelain nippers as well........

Wouldn't say parrots are obsolete. I have used them a few times in the last couple of months! Oh! they are Rubi as well, along with my normal nippers, and they nip porcelain ok, sort of!
