hello buddy, i've used raimondi floats for a long time and i don't get any problems with them, they might have hollow plastic handles but they are comfortable and the pads clip off and are replaced with new ones or a sponge for washing down with my washboy and i don't have any callouses either...Mike

can you use epoxy grout floats for normal grouting. i need a new one but i want a decent one this time

You can but they are hard work as they have no flex in them..coz they are designed to pull epoxy grout excess off....It would be better to use a flexible rubber faced one as it is easier to push the grout into the joints with that type of float.....you can get then as cheap as £4.99 from B&Q but i,m sure when neil at buybrandtools gets some in stock he will do a good deal on them.....

I personally find it easier to grout floors up with an epoxy grout float, still use the soft rubber ones for walls though

The epoxy float tend to be heavy rubber..ok for small areas but very tiring if doing large areas of wall.....Gaz

rubi grout float are very good. i have no afflitation with buy branded tools but can honsestly put hand on heart and say i have never bought a bit bit of kit from them 5* service through out good to c them on the forum shame they don't offer much in the way od trade discount but prices are very reasonable for rubi grout floats
