Default Cover for new Vitrex Cutter

No job today so have made this cover from 9mm ply, as you can see the ply fits nicely in the gutter. it protects the blade and guard and also allows storage for the plug and rule and of course allows other stuff to be on top. it took me less than a hour to knock it up.

do you think it would be worthwhile tanking it to make it bit more waterproof and durable too?

So that's 2 coats of sbr, cement board (glued and screwed) tanked, then porcelain tiles with satin chrome trim to finish.

You should have it finished by Monday.......(;0)

If he is going to those lengths to keep it clean, I would guess that it is new

Nice idea. It's a pain in the back side when the guard bends on those and puts force on the tile half way through the cut which can make it go offline. Used to annouy the shreds out of me having a dodgy guard that was messing with the cuts, and my head normally as they often look fine still. lol

it's a good idea as there's little room in my van and i always end up putting gear on top or if i stand it up it falls over and bends the guard . i may well make one when i got a bit of time
