    Default rotozip

    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the differances between the RZ3, RZ5 and the rotozip rebel, please?

Had a look at daves thread, and it looks a mean piece of kit!

    Thinking about it...

    Thanks.

X-Bit Tile bits, the XBFT1 and the 3mm grout cutter. Poor in my opinion. Used them on ceramic and travertine and they tend to burn up. the grout remover is fantastic but again they don't last that long. Unless of course I'm doing it wrong.

the tile dock looks the business but at £100 its a bit of a luxury. My workmate seems to do the job (£25)

You have to use the cutter in a sawing like action... up and down.. bit like you did when your first discovered your man..

This prevents the bit heating up.. i h ave had a porcelain X-bit in for well over a yr and use it for stone/ceramics and porcelain and it is still going strong... Don't take this the wrong way but user error can shorten the life of the bits.

    How rude!

Yeah thats how I do it...up and down. And the rotozip. Still find it heats up too easily when letterboxing. Think thats quite enough innuendo for one night.

At the risk of thread jumping! - If you need holes then the 365Drills PORSADRILL kit does its job. Unlike the X-bit PORSADRILL is not used dry. If you keep em wet then you will get good lifespan.

Working out at £7 a drill if bought via the bathroom fitters kit then its good value for money.

And for professional tilers looking to save EVEN MORE MONEY then we now have the MEGA DEAL.
Basically five packs of 6mm and 8mm works out at £5 a drill. Thats a lot of value for money.

Five packs of drills for £99
    TWENTY cores. 10 x 6mm and 10 x 8mm

Since we have started the Mega Deal for Pro Tilers we have been getting a great uptake on this deal.

No drill bit lasts forever. And if you want the best value for money (plus a heap of spares!) then this is a deal worth thinking about.

Something we have been told is that a few guys like to stock up on these and when asked about them on site they sell them on at the full £29.99 price rather than the £19.99 they are paying for the pack.

GOOD VALUE ! FOR HARD TIMES

The fatter one. I use porsadrill for hole drilling and theyre class and great value (any freebies gratefully accepted 365 ) but for grout clearing or detail/hole cutting I like the Rotozip, only problem is judging how long a bit will last and therefore how much to include in my price.

buy a rotozip as they replace with in a week, had 3 replaced over 15 months and they are still got a new 12 months guarantee ,
i would not buy another one , then burn out the bits to quick and cost to much to replace , but the machine will be replaced free so its only the bits that cost lol
