I use them, very good. I was gonna ditch my wee wet cutter for a bigger one on my first porcelain job but changed the makrist and het presto no probs! Have not used a rubi disc so couldnt compare properly!

Marcrist are brilliant, we use these discs in the centre on our rubis and they are in constant use by students cutting ceramics and LOTS of slate etc. The one we have in at the mo is nearly 5 Months old and still going well

Have to agree, my new "not twisted" CK850 goes through porcelain really well. Makes a nice whistling sound too as it slows down.

I have the 850 also, only found 1 drawback when cutting through ceramics that tend to chip easily (especially dark ceramics with a light coloured biscuit) the marcrist is a poor second to the ceramic Rubi blade as it does chip this type of ceramic quite badly.
