    Goodbye yellow Dewalt drill... You served us well for 4 years.

    You were even manhandled by Peter Jones on Dragons Den.

    Actual 365drills drill being manhandled by Peter Jones.

    One last photo for the scrap book....

    And its time to say hello to the shiny and new Makita 18v replacement drill.

    The poor dirty, gruby. battered old Dewalt has been put through over 5,000 hours of demonstrations plus lots of private jobs. And it seems the knackered old batteries just cant hold their charge any longer. Not good when in the middle of a demo!

    It will probably live out its days doing "small jobs" about the house but the days of getting up at 4am and going on the road to trade shows are long since over...

    (Mental note to self - Must remind you guys the first ToolFair is coming up soon in Yorkshire)

    ================================================== =========================
    NB: Here is the general reminder for the trade shows tagged on:
    ================================================== =========================

    Reminder: Its just a month to go until the first TOOLFAIR for 2011.
    Find us in Yorkshire... (There are other venues throughout the year)

    The trade show for professional tradesmen will kick off in YORKSHIRE
    on Thursday 10th March and Friday 11th March 2011

    Thats just a month away....

    365Drills will be showcasing diamond tile drills for VERY hard granite marble and porcelain tiles. And this year to do it we will be road testing the Makita above instead of our old Dewalt. (After 5000 hours of demonstrating the batteries have died on the Dewalt).

    As a day out its well worth the effort as you get to go hands-on with all sorts of tools and goodies. And there are deals to be had.

    The following companies are among those who have reserved stands at ToolFair: 365 Drills Makita Metabo Bahco Monument Tools Birchwood Price Tools Blaklader Workwear Positec Power Tools Robert Bosch Stanley Bostitch Citroen Stanley Concept Distribution The L S Starrett Company DeWalt Tools of the Trade Trade Direct Insurance Fein Industrial Power Tools Foldisheet Vantainer G & J Hall Alan Wadkins Brian Hyde Wera Tool Company Work-it Wear Irwin Industrial Tools Jardin de France Jobman Workwear Kewtech Corporation Key Lighting Klauke Lighthouse Trading Line Product Lutron
    Dont worry if you cant get to Yorkshire. This year we are also at
    Exeter - 5th and 6th May
    Coventry - 15th and 16th Sept
    Surrey - 10th - 11th Nov

    For those who come along there is
    Free Entry
    Free Parking
    Free Bacon Roll
    Free T-shirt
    Free Live Demos all day long from all exhibitors

    If you want to come along please REGISTER ONLINE for your free tickets

    The Bathroom Fitters Kit will be on test all day every day.
    Come and try it in Granite, Marble, Stone, Porcelain tiles, Ceramic Tiles, Slate, Travertine, Brick, Glass and any other stone based material.

    Stone Challenge: Bring your hardest tiles you can lay your hands on and we will put a 16mm hole into it within 30 seconds or you get the kit above for FREE.

    I love my Makita. I have the BHP452 in the Black & White limited edition and its the best drill I've owned and I've tried a good few.

    Over 22000 blows per min in hammer action and 50 newton meters of torque its a bit of a beast for the money imo.
