I reckon I have tried half the knee pads out there with my favourite to date being the Alpro Kneeling pad....Not the knee pads ! The single cushion is so comfy but you obviously have to move it with you as you work and then some Oink went and stole mine off site

So I tried the Alpro knee pads and very comfy there are too but they must disagree with me on 2 points.
1, they dont fasten tight enough and when I get off my knees they generally fall down.
2, They are fine once you kneel but if you twist around while on your knees mine slip and I fall off the pads. I know a few more people who have said the same.

Now I am not a fan of knee pads with straps as they cut into the back of my legs so I prefer the pads in knee pocket type.

Recently I have been trying a new pair that my local shop has taken in stock and they are superb. They fit the knee pockets perfect and dont slide around, they are quite chunky too but no where near as high as the Alpros. I have spent more time on my knees recently with out needing to stretch , than I can ever remember.

I just hope they live up to my expectations and that I have found my perfect pads.

Ive always liked the pads that go into the pockets. For the last couple of years I've put 2 sets in to give even more comfort and it fills the pockets out stopping them moving about.

Yep i have tried that in the past but it felt too hard, this have a lovely comfy feel.

i've got platinum knee pads, they can twist if not pulled tight but they have wide straps so don't hurt.

Alpros have wide straps but dont hold on my knees.

What make and shop Neale?

The shop was my local one who I have dealt with for almost 30 years.
The maker of the pads is Sprung Ltd | Home based in Wolverhampton.

I've found them available from City Electrical Factors (CEF) priced at £14.99 + vat. I'm going to get a pair and try them out.

I think I paid less than that but still a good price for knee protection IMO

I'm on my knees continually so there's no set budget on my knee protection. I was working 7 days on the last six weeks before Christmas and they were getting painful to the point I was worried there might be permanent damage but a few ice packs and a good rest seemed to sort them out. I'd pay £300 or more for a pair if I thought they were the best.

The best I've had by far and still use have been the more expensive Snickers inserts similar to bean bags but I'm always on the look out for something better.Mind you I'm beginning to think our knees can only take so much kneeling. We're just not designed for it for hours on end.

Had one in Australia but gave me saddle rash !!! and if you wheel back over your fingers....those castors bleedin hurt.

Mine were £14 inc vat. Still loving them.

Blaklader Workwear | Blaklader 4008 Knee Pads

These are an excellent replacement to the normal foam type inserts. Memory foam knee pads!

In fact the whole Blaklader range of workwear is excellent.

I still use my alpros every day, my only problem would be them falling off ! the velcro seems to catch dirt etc so an upgrade would do the trick,lol.
I know there is straps available for the alpros.
