Interesting concept, personally i can see its uses in confined spaces etc...also full view of the tile...it mgith get picked to pieces but personally i'd use an item like this no probs![]()

It is a good concept.. would be different doing raking cuts and on 45.. maybe the addition of it to able to tilt for mitring as well.
It could be a winner even for longer tiles such as 900mm or even 1200's.

Interesting, I suppose it's because it goes against the norm that I'm sat thinking of negative things about it, no doubt these will get ironed out in the development stages, for 1, no field of view, 2 how would you cut on the rake, 45 degrees etc But I do think it has potential for some smaller jobs, i wouldn't like to put a large format tile on it, top heavy and all that.
very interesting, I'd certainly give one a try. Imagine have no more back ache from bending over a horizontal cutter. Thumbs up from me![]()
it would all depend on the way the table could support it.

like it, how many times do we cut outside and work a distance away. As you say Neale, a bit more development needed

Space saving idea but would need to have some flexibilty for other cuts
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes"
I don't suppose it would be hard to incorporate a swivel on the bed to do mitres and maybe some sort of jig for raking cuts.
Great concept. I've often thought if bridge saws had a slope of say 5 or 10 degrees they'd be a lot cleaner to use........ but I'm not convinced they weren't his dolls.

looks good, my only concern would be the view of the line on rake cuts etc.

great concept, i like the water running down with gravity, and not spraying everywhere like the DE-walt 24000, it looks like the sheet wood cutters in B & Q just a bit more tweaking and he would have a winner there!!!

I like it Neale
I think it's one of them things that I would have to physically try to see if I was comfortable with it, but good idea![]()

very good idea, .....counter balance thingy would have to be spot on, and robust, imagine that failing.

i think it is a winner with a bit more development. The raking cuts could be sorted with something like a screw adjustable bed so you can tilt one side. i like it and if there was one for sale in my local tile shop i would probably give it a go. nice fine Neale.

like the board saws in BQ very good idea in a restricted area

just like the panel saws found in joinery workshops (smaller ofcourse)
you could even make a jig to do mitre cuts if there was not a swivel function incorporated into this machine.
Looks good to me simple idea using gravity to dispel the water its one of those why did'nt I think of that simple ideas, I't will probably get much better with a little more development
dont suffer problems find solutions

should have gone on dragons den with it.

Yep and I think Montolit have one too, also a vertical manual cutter .

same principal as a saw mill uses for cutting large sheet timber. Really easy to use and get good clean cuts on timber.....can't see why it would not work for tiles as well.
