Sigma 10m tile saw
I have seen Joe (hillhead) mention his 10m a few times... just flicking around utube and came across a few vids..
Does it kick out much spray Joe.. as in you get wet from frontal spray from the blade..?
Looks like a great piece of kit and i like the swing up guard for wider cutting capability..

Re: Sigma 10m tile saw
I have that cutter Dave, bought it about 8 plus years ago. They are great machines and cut anything with ease. The swing up arm is good but a wet face is a definate when you have to lift it. The blades last for ever but are expensive, £80.

Re: Sigma 10m tile saw
I looked at that vid a while back when i first joined here. From memory its a bit heavier than the DeWalt and would have been my second choice but its too expensive for me

Re: Sigma 10m tile saw
Ok lads mine is a beauty to use too !!
Weight wise its around 65kg i believe, my lad gives me a lift with it all the time(handy).
No wet face at all and even on wider stuff with guard up i tilt my head sideways, lol to avoid the face wash.
I know quite a few who use these saws with no problems at all.
Extremely heavy duty and the 3hp motor works a treat.
The red stand comes free with the 10M usually, mine cost around £1350 i think but it's well paid me back since.
300mm blade from sigma is going to cost me £120+vat this week, a guy told me last week about his costing 100 euro all in !!
Come on Dom,where did you buy at £80 ? or is yours the diatech blade? it's around that price.

Re: Sigma 10m tile saw
Hi Joe I get my blade direct from trimline in surrey. Its 250mm diameter and 2mm thick. I have bought from them for years and I get real good prices and service. Dont be put off by their catalogue prices, once you have shown to them that you are in the trade then the prices tumble.

Re: Sigma 10m tile saw
Cheers dom. Only prob is mine is a 300mm blade.it is the standard size for the 10m. I know a 250 would fit but the tray would need to be near full to brim.my saw is only 5 years old now and maybe the older ones had a 250 on board?

Re: Sigma 10m tile saw
Hi joe, I use both wheels, the one on now is great for porcelain but your right about the water level, its nearly a gallon to fill the tray up. Cracking cutter though.
Is yours 110 volts?

Re: Sigma 10m tile saw

Have to pack it up later for different job tomorrow.so bloody busy right now! Dont you forget to say hello to joe c for me.lol
