There is no way that is quicker than a decent wet saw, nor will it give as clean and as straight a cut.

Get a sigma 10m and see just how good a true wet cutter should be.

Having tried it I must agree. The old wickes one was perfectly adequate so just looking for something slightly better this time

i have a dewalt 24000 for accurate or delicate work but on jobs with just cutting around perimiter of room under skirting etc i use the angle grinder i am not saying to use it for every job just in my opinion its fast and accuate when you get the hang of it each to there own!

Re: Replacement tile saw needed very soon.
Ok, the saw arrived yesterday, Thursday. Used the old Wickes one up until then.
I have to say this is a great little saw. Very good sized table, water circulation system that actually works provided it's set up level, and the cut quality or lack of chipping is superior to the old machine. I cannot imagine any diy user or even a jobbing pro needing a better unit than this. I can only assume the negative reviews were the classic "poor workman blames his tools " scenario.
Cheers chaps and thanks for the advice

Re: Replacement tile saw needed very soon.
I have just bought myself one of them, i am only a diy'er, i have also ordered some Tile Slysa cutting discs as i dont think the std blade that came with it is up to cutting 10mm porcelain.

Re: Replacement tile saw needed very soon.
Kev,
Used the saw for porcelain faced 1000 x 333 tiles. Brill,
Today used on 600 x 440 solid porcelain tiles, again best I've used but probably only 1/2 as quick as on the other soft tiles. they were 12mm.
Let me know how you get on, I've found it spot on.

Re: Replacement tile saw needed very soon.
I use the Vitrex all the time, even though I have the Dewalt 24000, I find it fine for most small jobs

Re: Replacement tile saw needed very soon.
Well i recieved my Turbo premium Tile Slysa blades this morning, great service from Rightlines, and i have got at least half of my cuts done today, the blades cut through porcelain like a hot knife through butter.
