well just remember, if you haven't got space in your van Dave .....
do they do a cordless version?

Hands up if you'd like to see Dave do a video review of this?
I think that could be a nice addition to the forum, video reviews that is.
Dewalt Dave, it's got a ring to it!
I was toying with the idea of one of those but I'll wait for the review now. I found one in a popular trade catalogue I get in the mail......£211.48 inc. vat.
Those have to be the biggest Stanley blades ever!!! What size is the knife?

£211.............i'll stick with the grinder

I like the look of this better Dave its been on my wish list for quite a while EDX SCS7 Stone Cutting Saw

Now I do like the looks of that, I'll await your review Dave, one thing that I picked up on here was by the sound of it they only do 240v as it has a built in / in line rcd, some sites won't allow them, do you know if ghey have plans for a 110v version ?

Dave my mates doing a exhibition for them the next two weekend just rang him told him to see if he can get one

Alan.. they do do a 110v one.. coz i could have had one a few weeks back if i was a 110v user.

I had a Makita one of these 20 years ago in Australia, they are ok and very handy, there is a lot cheaper and everybit as good one available, ( is it ok t name supplier on here ? ) me and Phil hobson bought one each about 4 years ago, I dont need mine but Phil uses his quite a lot I think, but an ok tool with plenty of uses. Makita also had a bigger version, a lot of stone masons out there used them, they were faily exxy, but a top tool. Ok seeya Steve aka ozboz

i think somebody has missed something about this thread????
theres a certain 'old school pro tiler' thats just gone over 3000 posts.....can you guess who???
i'll give you a clue......if he used a smilie, it would be thislol

DEWALT WET CIRCULAR SAW - Google Search
A few prices here, will wait on Daves review for some feedback, looks like another tool that that does a top job !!

its a really great tool..ideal for cutting miters on tiles or cutting long slabs. they are a bit more accurate than an angle grinder but they are a great addition to your saw collection....you see joiners using hand held circular saw, so its the same principle really..
people are saying the price of £211 is a bit expensive which compared to an angle grinder is but, if you were using it cutting 1.2m tiles or longer, then it becomes a much cheaper option than a dry cutter at this size! also, less likely to break them too...use a straight edge and a clamp and your away...if you are just starting out, it might be the best route to buy one of these first, before you buy the d24000.

I have found the same most people on site seem to have the makita gear rather then the dewalt now adays.
Perhaps the dewalt and the makita wet circular saw should be tested back to back? Its a ahame makita dont do a wet saw for tiling im sure it would be a good tool to there list!
