Hi guys

hi mate i would go for the tx700 ,better cutter all round and fit most day to day tiles in
good luck
be good at 1 thing ,not average at lots
The clinker has a 600 capacity which will be needed, it's cheaper and a lot of guys on here like it. I have one and never really got on with it but it probably just needs a new cutting wheel.

the ts 50 plus is a lot more expensive and you are limited to the size of tile you can cut ,i have gone off the point breaker cutters and now prefer cutting macines that break along the full length of the tile the reason for this is the amount of porcelain i seem to do these days and rarely get a ceramic job ,on price and versatility i would say big clinker on build quality and accuracy i would say rubi ts

looks like I will have to dig deeper into me pockets and go for a TX.
Thanks for the feedback Guys

The tile cutters I have at the moment are a rubi ts 40 plus which I use for ceramics ,I also have the ts 60 plus which I dont really use too often these days ,I have the nouva battipav superpro 750 which is an excellent single rail ,sprung bed porcelain cutter and I have the superpro 900 as well,I have the Tx 1200n which I have had an up and down relationship with, I was speaking to a guy who repairs cutting machines and he gave me a few tips on how to get the best out of the Rubi tx1200n so I have ordered some new spares for it as it took a battering on the last job I had where we had a lot of 1200x600 tiles to cut.wet cutters, I have a rubi d 300 which is 20 years old but still cutting well very, powerful 3hp motor eats most natural stone and porcelain tiles ,I have a stayer cer400 which cuts a 1200 tile, bridge cutter, nice machine but takes alot of setting up to get the best out of it and last week I got a really good deal on a 110v dewalt D2400 which had only been used for one small bathroom and only cost me £560 in nearly brand new condition

the big clinker is a good value for money starter machine, once your earning well you will be able to pick and choose a rubi or sigma
I know nothing I havent learnt

I've just bought a Rubi TX700N 2 days ago. Different league from clinker. However the clinker for the price is good value. Its a good all rounder and big enough for most domestic jobs.
Keep the rails nice and clean and dry with a soft cloth every job and it should last you a good while. The cutting wheels are cheap too.

Thanks for the info gents
Does the Rubi TX700 have a spring bed ? Whats the difference between the TX700 & Tx700n?

the new tx700's have a alloy sprung bed
the tx 700 has a shorter measuring arm, then the tx700n
tx700 is the one to go for imo ;0)

to save some money for the other tools i would opt for the big clinker, then save towards the rubi, they are similar cutters(apart from price) i picked one up with the intention that i wouldn't be using it that much and have since relegated my same sigma of the same size to the loft
