    white rubber mallets in wickes about £7 look good ,I bought one today

    cheers Gary, was uncalibrated slate and I couldn't seal them prior to fixing. I think I've got some pics of it finished somewhere on my camera.

    I was using one last week to lay 600mm square solid bedded 50mm thick flags. Mine cost £1 from a market stall. Works fine.

    I bought one of these from Screwfix last week, bargain and cheaper than the wickes one. The black head one is a touch cheaper but it marks the white tiles im using

    popped into b&q at dinner time and they had white rubber mallets in the tiling section for £3-50!! looked like the wickes ones too ;0)

    Thats a brick on a stick! far too hard like the Thor ones, you have to give it the tap test before you buy any rubber mallet too soft and too light it will split very quickly too hard and heavy you will crack too many tiles

    i think every tiler should have a rubber mallet. i have 2. 1 small and big 1 for the natural stone jobs. wouldn't leave home without them.
