Thin ply by the sounds of it. I use 1 1/4 on the bulk of the floor with 15mm ply and with longer screws going into the joists

25mm is right for 12mm ply, but the minimum thickness is 15mm, which you wont find in the uk so its 18mm ply to conform with bs

Ahhh, I think screwfix are pretty decent for screws. I used to get their screw set in a red metalbox and you just topped them up from time to time with refill packs. Used to work out far cheaper than my old plumb place I used to go that sold similar screws for nearly twice the price!

Never saw the price for 25m screws though.

Gold screws from Screwfix mate, very sharp and easy to get started, I use 25mm for ply, 40mm for Aquapanel/hardi backer and 20mm for 6mm backer board

Get most of my screws from Screwfix - we have a local trade counter so I can pick them up. Sometimes I use Tool Station cos they also have local depot. I use loads of screws
