Default 1st Laser - What should I buy?

Hi Guys, as the title suggest I am looking to buy my first laser level.

I am unsure about what type to go for, as my work involves both floors and walls.

It seems most lasers will cater for either floors, or walls. And some of the more higher priced one's can do both - I would prefer one that can do both.

Can anyone recommend a good one please? I know there expensive, so it maybe christmas before I can afford

    Thanks in advance.

I guess a lot depends on your budget, I got the bosch GLL 2-50, and I think it's great

Get the DeWalt DW087K like Doug has suggested

It's the popular choice on here and is the one I use - excellent bit of kit

DeWalt do a floor laser square as well....

Although I use an American 'Laserliner' one which does the job for me

Doug - I'm not to fussed about budget. When it comes to spending that much money....I'd rather have 1 tool that can do the lot & if it takes me a few months to save for it, I would rather do that.

Ps. are u on commision? lol

Forgot to mention....I placed my first order with TT last night. Will be here Monday Fantastic Service.

My finger was twitching to buy the stabila, but I had to hold myself back.

Just been doing some research on the bosch range and I think the GLL range is just the kind of thing I'm after. I'd better get saving!!

Now thats the kind of thing I would really like

After doing some research, I now wonder if a 2 lasers maybe more practical? But I think a 3 line laser would be the sort of thing I'll start off with.

Bosch GLL 2-80 looks very nice, and so does the Hilti. I assume the Bosch would be more affordable and the quality, good enough for me.

I'll probably end up with that one, but I need to get more work done first.

    Thanks for your advice.

Hiya, I just this week bought a Leica Lino L2, Swiss made I believe, comes with a little tripod/magnetic wall mount and target, 30m beam that seems to have a dual brightness me bob, 2 year warranty, carry case, top bit of gear, about the size of your hand, in the mid price bracket, gets a from me, big thing is mate, dont go cheap, unless you get one on special, I scored a DeWalt from a shop that was closing, got it for less than 100 about two years ago, was good tool, but lent it to some sign fixers, that was the end of it anyway happy hunting !!
