Re: Wash Boy
For future reference.....
You grout as much as you can, usually a fair amount if not all of your wall or floor, you wet the sponge, roll it on the rollers to get it to almost the perfect... dampness?! and do circular motions over your grout joints. Then give the sponge a wiggle in the water and the grout will settle beyond the grid in the bucket which means there's less chance of it messing your sponge up again when you dip it in next time. Rolling the sponge over the rollers again to get the sponge ready and then do one large diagonal wipe pressing on a little in a smooth motion, and rinse/roller the sponge after each single use and you end up with grout joints all cleaned off and tiles that usually wouldn't need a dusting off/buffing up afterwards.
Be sure to get the water out of the ends of your sponge using your rollers too.DanTilersForums.co.uk Owner

Re: Wash Boy
Make sure you dont leave anything on top of your sponges whilst in the bucket when your finished otherwise your sponges will dry knackered

Re: Wash Boy
hi i've got the rubi one - it's got 2 wheels and i really like it as i've never cleaned off tiles without it, so not had the complication you ole boys have had!

Re: Wash Boy
2 wheels!! You've got yours upside down pal.
And Varley, yours had non for months until i put them on for you - lazy git!
Wash boy - fantastic until some bint wants you to use black grout.
Cleaning it out after reminds me of fighting over the PVA pots to pick out at school.

Re: Wash Boy
jam it up against garden fence and pressure wash it or do as leatherface suggested and clean with diluted brick acid

Re: Wash Boy
Are you sure you don't just have two spare wheels?

Think 4wd made by tilerite - See darren NE tile training.
I't not really a one handed process - you got to keep hold of the bucket.
Any one use gloves with this (neoprene or anything) I got some cracking skin bubbles to play with when i done 35m2 one afternoon.

Great bit of kit on large floors.

Wait until you get a rough stone floor, your'll understand then. Rips them to shreds

Re: Wash Boy
Lol Brum....this weren't my first post mate....... fill it up just above the crate (about 20-30mm) or if you prefere take the tray out altogether (this is what i do) it dont matter too much as all the grout and other stuff sinks anyway mate.

Re: Wash Boy
The tray (grid) is there to help agitate the sponge to remove more grout particles, also if you dont fill it too far above the grid you can do your washing off with dry hands as only the sponge bit gets wet not the handle.
Mine is a Karl Dahm and it has got 4 wheels, you can lock them so that it doesn't move about. Not had much problem cleaning it yet, I empty out most of the water, let the sediment dry and then just scrape it out, giving a final clean with a sponge.
