Hi ALL!...wats a reasonable offer on the montolit ebay!!?...theres another 1 masterpiuma evo 2 bid at £120 so far...not sure which 1 to go for
Sir Ramic....wat prices do u think r reasonable offers for the old montolit...(ive ASKED the seller and he brought it second hand ,so now its soon to b 3rd) plus theres another montolit masterpiuma evo 2 its been bid at £120 so far...what would be a silly price for that pls

Such things are worth what you are willing to pay. I would check out the New prices 1st and then work on half that price at the most unless it was a current model. Depends how bad you want it. I just paid £80 for a Sigma 5A....now that was a bargain.

what in the hell!..how did u manage a 5a @ that price!..thats rhetorical..I follow your reasoning..and yes im kinda need 1 badly but don t want to be silly over it...I ve been following this tileforum for a few weeks now ...due to my search for a cutter...ive always loved tiling and seem to be doin alot of it lately..im a skilled carpenter/multi trader mostly..my point is i love good tools...without opening another debate which im sure youve commented on,.could u tell me (in your opinion)..are sigmas alot better than montolit..or is there not much in it...that id notice...thankoyu for your time

The real difference in my opinion between the Sigma and Monty is that the Sigma has less parts to break. My Sigma is 9 years old and I have just refurbed it with a few new parts, I also have a new one (the £80 one) In the store just in case......I know i wont need it though
Both cutters do the same thing so I guess its personal preference. Sigma tend to be more common than Monty`s so parts are easier to obtain. A lot of tilers have various cutters for different jobs where as I use my Sigma 5A for 99% of the jobs I do.

I actually got it on Ebay for £100 but when it arrived the marker guide was missing so he refunded £20.
I have an Ebay search set up so I get notified when items with certain names become available. I think I bought it on a "Buy it now" price within minutes of it being advertised.

Hmmm lucky u..i hope i have the same luck!...if i dont get the ebay montolit...i,ll probably end up buying a sigma 2d3 or 2c3....they look narrow but they can break upto 23mm...plus i know they sell cases!...thanks for your help!.i checked your website....Very impressed with your work...amazing!

Just a last thoought...Have you used a Sigma type cutter before ? Some like it and some dont, It would be best if you could try before buying.
You may like to push the handle rather than pull or you may like to see the scribe line inbetween the 2 rails.

ok this will probably b the last question on this matter!!! but what would be the best choice out of the montolits...the old version masterpiuma 52 or the newer masterpiuma 63....im sure id get the older version cheaper...at least i hope

Depends on what size tiles you will be using. 600mm tiles are very common these days.
