And some lucky person would get a bargain. Dont forge though its an old model and if you bid dont go over a realistic price. But it could be a good buy for someone.

Not very often good quality cutters come up for sale...they tend to be Rubis

Such things are worth what you are willing to pay. I would check out the New prices 1st and then work on half that price at the most unless it was a current model. Depends how bad you want it. I just paid £80 for a Sigma 5A....now that was a bargain.

The real difference in my opinion between the Sigma and Monty is that the Sigma has less parts to break. My Sigma is 9 years old and I have just refurbed it with a few new parts, I also have a new one (the £80 one) In the store just in case......I know i wont need it though
Both cutters do the same thing so I guess its personal preference. Sigma tend to be more common than Monty`s so parts are easier to obtain. A lot of tilers have various cutters for different jobs where as I use my Sigma 5A for 99% of the jobs I do.

I actually got it on Ebay for £100 but when it arrived the marker guide was missing so he refunded £20.
I have an Ebay search set up so I get notified when items with certain names become available. I think I bought it on a "Buy it now" price within minutes of it being advertised.

Just a last thoought...Have you used a Sigma type cutter before ? Some like it and some dont, It would be best if you could try before buying.

You may like to push the handle rather than pull or you may like to see the scribe line inbetween the 2 rails.

Depends on what size tiles you will be using. 600mm tiles are very common these days.
