Rubi TS40+ cutting off square... in the
Tiling Tools at TilersForums;
Morning all,
I've had my TS40+ just over 12months now but since before Xmas it's started cutting off by about 3 or 4mm
Never had this problem with my old ... -

There is a chance you need to renew the cutting tip, it may just be pulling to the side. Are you using a wheel?

I had the same prob with my ts50+.. new cutting wheel (stem) and it is fine... i have moved up to the 8mm wheel instead of 6mm and the wheel spindle last longer.

I saw a rubi rep checking rubi cutters for squareness at a show once he put a square up against the stop bar and ran the wheel up beside it to check. if they were running out he loosened the stop bar fixings screws adjusted and retightened until they were square again hope this makes sence and helps...

I saw a rubi rep checking rubi cutters for squareness at a show once he put a square up against the stop bar and ran the wheel up beside it to check. if they were running out he loosened the stop bar fixings screws adjusted and retightened until they were square again hope this makes sence and helps...
That's what I suggested doing to the Rubi man I spoke to and he said there was 'no way in a million years that the stop bar would go out of square as it was machine engineered square with the bolt holes...'
I think if a new ten quid cutting wheel resolves the prob, I'll be over the moon
