Hi Chris
I have several Ace and K nailers and they have all served me well over a long period of time, I can recommend them, but I have not got a flooring cleat nailer. The Ace and K cleat nailer is over £400, not sure if you wanted to spend that sort of money.

Float,stick or nail!
i'v seen it all, obviously different floors need different ways of fixing.
If you intend doing plenty of floors buy a good nailer
I was told lately that i should be laying wood too as i have plenty of experience with timber.too busy tiling though but who knows what the future holds.

Re: Secret Nailer
If I have to lay junckers flooring in a gym I use one of these in the link, I bought it from tradewoods in Ormskirk 6 years ago for £400, great bit of kit.
