Re: ts-60 plus
I would have gone for the 700 myself but hey ho, you'll probably be better off with the 10mm wheel, firm but not overly firm score, the snapping varies from tile to tile but you'll soon get the feel for it.

Re: ts-60 plus
The TX would have been the better choice. I find porcelain needs a moveable breaker.
Personally i think the TS range has had its day for an all round cutter. Tiles are harder these days.

Re: ts-60 plus
Just use it to scribe your cut then tap the back with a hammer
Had mine more than 15 years ( don't think it had a no. then) and still going strong.

Re: ts-60 plus
hi mate
a ts60 plus is alot better than people think. if you scribe, then get a good grip when you pull towards you till it bites and then a controlled firm snap, then it will cope with porcelain..NOT all!!! i have seen montolits and sigmas break tiles irratically too, there are times when you just have to wet cut.....they take a bit of getting used to but i really like them and if you can cut with them, then your on your way!
as tj says, you can use other ways to break. hammer tap on the back or breaking over a batten or the actual bed of the cutter...nice clear view with the rubis and you they make a man of you

Re: ts-60 plus
I dont have much success with mt Rubi ts50 plus on porcelain.
They always seem to shatter, i agree with neeeding the movable breaker.....or the sigma
