    Default sigma 3d 93 price?

going to buy a new dry cutter is £330 a good price for the sigma 3d 93 just used to a rubi havent a clue prices for sigmas. my local tile market is doing it for that price have ordered one in to have a go on. been told they cut better on larger tiles than the rubi. I have to admit they do look a good sturdy machine is it easy to get used to after being used to the push mechanisim.? Any info appreciated on price anyone else changed over from rubi to sigmas!

I seen my 63cm 3B a few weeks ago in Tilemarket Newry in a great box !!
And i'm sure they had a 3D in stock in there too.
£330 is not a bad price for such a good cutter,i have the 3D and its an awsome cutter.
I think i bought mine for £250,heavily discounted but i had 2 pallets of addy on same docket, lol

Sounds a decent price. Usually get mine ordered in from Huttons on Shore Road. Lomac on Boucher seems to carry a lot in stock though. Personally I'd buy the 128 rather than the 93 if you're going into the big sizes, because sure enough on the next job you get the tiles will be larger than 93. Just a thought.

Living off Tate's Avenue at the minute, you're welcome to have a play on my 5a/4a some time you're local.

You would have to ask Marky for more feedback on that. He gave it a good go but i could tell by the sound of the scribe when he had that right.
Its one of those things that I couldnt actually say why he had problems other than its all down to technique.
What I did notice was he seemed to be putting a lot of effort into cutting the tiles than needed.

All i can say is when his frustration got the better of him I would simply cut the next tile with very little effort at all and they were decent quality tiles.
Marky would be the best to explain.

    Sigmas dont really need boxes.
There aren't any parts that would be easily broken on them, like there is with some of the Rubis.
But if you really want one, you can now buy a box that will take just about any model.

I get my sigma gear from a company in Perth.
They do deliver nationwide, normally next day too.

You have to feel the sigma !!!
you have to get to know it like a woman,
my lad today messed up two cuts of 500x500 porcelain,i pushed him aside and cut the next two perfect. You definitely need to know how much pressure etc to put on the handle when scoring, every sort of tile is different but you soon know which work best each way

Good answer Joe, the times I have watched other tilers struggle to use one of my sigmas, they break so many tiles until they get the feel for it, then they seem to want one.
