Genesis single rail cutter
I was in Boydens in Epsom a few days ago and saw the genesis single rail porcelian tile cutter on sale at a good price. I had a go at a few porcelian tiles they had, and a tile I had had problems with cutting and it cut well good.
The down side was that the wheel & clinker system are so bulky I couldn't see pencil marks I had made!

I have their twin rail and believe me it can't cut the porcelian I've had recently. This other cutter of theirs is a good buy but I do agree, having borrowed my mates TX900N recently, the Rubi is far better, but over-priced IMO.

Re: Genesis single rail cutter
I've just brought the Genesis 934 1200mm cutter and have to say for under £300 it's not bad breaks the tile with ease but as said above very very tricky to see your pencil marks. But with a little extra time spent on the job and for a cutter I will probly use 3 times a year not bad. Although I would say if I started to get a lot more jobs where the tiles were upwards of 900mm then I would stick the cutter straight on e-bay and invest in a Rubi without hesitation. Just need a trailer to put the cutter in now.
