Im not trying to justify anything, Im simply pointing out the obvious.

You tell me how things could be done better then ?

It's a simple case of, we either produce everything ourselves and pay a far higher price for it and millions in poor countries starve because there are no jobs for them, or we ship production of certain things overseas where it's far cheeper to produce, we pay less for the products and millions are in a job earning money to live.

That is how the world works, so you don't have to get on your high horse over this at me when Im simply stating how the world works.

But if you feel you have a better solution, then the world would like to know about it versatilene.

Millions aren't starving because there's no work for them, they're starving because we in the west exploit them by paying peanuts thus forcing those who can get work to work long hours just to survive. It would be better to pay a fair rate so people could afford to work less hours and spread the work out among more people. No two ways about it the might and greed of the developed countries is keeping the third world from sharing its wealth.

I didn't mean to wind anyone up so please lets not get personal (high horses etc.) each to our own opinion and I like nothing better than a good bit of banter.
How did this happen from a tile cutter??

I wasnt getting at you versatilene, I was just pointing out how the world currently works.

The feel from your post was lets have it made abroad so it cheeper for me and Im allright jack or whatever, lol

You seemed to be against the plasplug being produced in the middle east, hence making it cheeper to buy here, so I was just saying why it's done, as Im sure everyone knows why production ships overseas often, but you said I was trying to justify it, which I wasn't, just saying why they do it.

I was perfectly happy to pay £125 for a cutter, but if productions going to go east and the price is going to be slashed in october, then i will wait to buy one when the price is lower.

Yes maybe people could be payed more and work less hours, but thats nothing I can do about it.

Anyway, back on track

Sorry for the high horse comment, don't mean to be getting personal if that's how it sounded, lol

I'm quite happy to sit on my high horse. lol
if we shifted all our production out of the far east and back to england so they didn't "suffer on poor wages". They'd be more f****d than boy george. They might be poor, but its thanks to us shifting production over there that theyre not dead!!

I got the master curret from b&q 2 weeks ago as a back-up. What a nice machine. Have to say, I put my porcelain blade in right away. I is usually £120 , so go to the shop quick while it is on offer. I like the drain system, a plug they have put in the base, and it cleans up better than usual cutters. Good motor too. I might even invest in a smaller model while the sale is on at b&q. I like the fact little water goes all over the place.

its not actually a sale at b+q. What happened is they got wind of plasplugs price cuts, so they implemented the prices changes early (taking a bit of a loss), so it looks like they cut theyre prices and everyone else copied and followed suit so it looks like theyre controlling the market. When in reality everyone will be cutting theyre prices in a few weeks, and b+q prices wont go back up again.
