Ok if you are talking £100 ish...then the Plasplugs or Vitrex or Norton
Next up would be the Rubi ND200 £480 or even a Rubi DW200
Then we get to the £600- £800 range and that gives you the Rubi DW250 but as Dave says The Dewalt DW24000 is best in that class.
Above that you get into BIG cutters such as the Big Sigmas etc.....out of my range

Thats what I was after thank you for your opinion on this matter. Regards Michael.![]()
I second Sir Ramic not much more to add I have a norton its a good cutter when I bought mine it had a extra blade I beleive that they have stoped that now so its about equal between vitrex and norton not sure about plasplugs.
dont suffer problems find solutions

The briccolina is worth considering if you are looking for a good quality little cutter for around the £100-£150 mark

The plasplugs looks virtually identical to the Vitrex, ive had a plasplugs contract plus for about 4 years and its done well. Makes you look like you wet yourself and it vey loud IMO.

I've just googled "Briccolina wet saw" and found this link....

Although the mods may choose to delete the link, so just google the above phrase and you should find a supplier. It may be worth a look on ebay too?

I have the D24000 (which is much documented!!) and its the best portable wet cutter by a mile.....
... but I also recently bought the Vitrex 750 for smaller jobs and I used it for the first time this week - I must say it is absolutely superbI am assuming the design is based on the old PP Master Tiler but the actual use of the machine far exceeds it's predecessor
Lots more power (150 watts to be exact), better guide rail set up and significantly quieter
All in all I can highly recommend the Vitrex 750![]()

I agree the 24000 is the best and well priced
Hi mate sorry this is a bit old and i don't know if you have bought yet but try the DU 200 L BL from rubi. Really good powerfull motor and CTD next month March/April will be selling them for £250 with stand and CPC2 porca blade. Bargain.

I still like my Tyrolit Hydrostress TTE250 I think its a similar design to the Dewalt 24000, retail is a little more expensive but I got mine for £700 with a few extra blades.
With a cutting length of 730mm & depth of 60mm cuts anything.
I will get some pictures of it in use posted next time I use it.
