    Just bought a Rubi TS-40 and im in love. The noise it makes when when i cut a tile makes me shiver. Pricey i think, but would of payed double of what it cost.

    it's a "Rubi ts-40" right ? if so here we have green box,not red,TS-40 and red box TR-40!

    the red box is the ts40 plus, same cutter, higher breaking pressure I believe. I have the TS40plus, the TS60plus and the TX700..... all great cutters.... pretty much cut anything. Pricey, but then thats how I earn my living and they've never let me down.

    I've a TS-50 but am after a TS-30 for confind spaces. Rubi stopped making them apparently but there are still some in circulation. Either that or 2nd hand.

    i know of someone who has one brand new, i think its £136, my TS-40 was £171. ill double check it and let you know if you want, if you do , give me your number and tx you with the price tomoz

    some of them, most of ebay. my uncle was a builder and passed away a couple of years ago, my aunt rang up and said help myself to his tools, so as soon as i get a van, im gonna go see what his got. why do you ask?

    Just check on the web before you buy from him you could get things cheaper.

    I was looking at getting a TS-50 cant say ive layed a tile for 10 years so i looked at it being slightly bigger then ts-40 and a bit smaller then ts-60 prob a shi*te way of looking at a cutter but ive no other way of judging.

    thats what it is, TS-30 for 300mm tiles, TS-40 for 400mm tlies ect ect

    This might be a strange question, but do you rest your Rubi cutter on it's box whilst cutting? I ask because I used to lose a lot of porcelain tiles when resting on the box, but when I put the cutter on the floor I get better results. I now don't use the box to rest on.

    i put mine on a work bench, if no room for bench, use the floor.

    ie got one hardly used i bought it for a lad who worked for me who then left as soon as i got it

    ts-40 is a great cutter , keep the bars oiled regularly and well maintained and it will last you a lot of years

    i will probley do it while it is still box fresh, but after a while it will be every two jobs, then 3 then 4, then who cares i want the TS-50, so ill leave it till i have to get it.

    then the same process on the TS-50, till i want the TS-60

    got the same cutter bud and its great. got it second hand on ebay 48 quid with the postage and seller stated hed only used it a few times was looking for months though so very lucky. some second hand ones sell for 90 quid
