After looking about and reading these forums it seems to me that Rubi and Sigma are the leading brands in tile cutters. While everywhere sells the Rubi cutters and I've got a good idea of what's what. I can't find anywhere that has any information on the Sigma's and what the difference is between the series and models. I've only found one place that sells them
Amoroc Tools - suppliers of sigma & rubi tile cutters - tiling tools & accessories but it doesn't give enough information for a newbie like myself to really get an idea. Where would I get wheels etc for the Sigma?
Thing is I'm looking to buy my first manual tile cutter and would like to get one that's as versatile as possible (cut the small ceramics to large porcelain, even a few natural stone if that's possible from one cutter?). I've been looking at the Rubi TS series which looks great but it's seems like there's a draw back to these that their breakers are fixed at one end and not great for cutting diagonals. The TX series gets passed this but they are large. Are these practical for cutting small ceramic tiles, I'm guessing they're not as they don't come with a 6mm wheel which are for cutting ceramics right.
So onto Sigma... Is the manual cutter I'm looking for among their models.
Can anyone help, cheers.
