Default Clean tools

Sounds stupid as the answer may well be "clean them" but after some tips on keeping tools clean on the job. Got some rapidset stuck on my trowels, i scrape them down as i go but some of the stuff on the edges etc sticks on, there an easy way to get it off or just a case of get scraping? Another thing is mixing paddles, was on a job the other day where was using a dark rapid set addy but a white grout. Keep my paddle in water when not in use and give it a brush down but after i had finsished laying and time to grout there were still small traces of the addy on the paddle so ended up mixing the white grout via hand. Any tips?
Thx
Mat

Get two mixing paddles, one for grout and one for adhesive, try cement away cleaner to clean your tools.

Ditto. And always put my trowels in the bucket straight after each use.

For when you get lazy and forget to clean your trowels like me then a quick blast over with a grinder makes them like new........dave......

Leave to soak in really hot water to soften then scrape them as a bit easier. Two things ill never forget being taught. Make cleaning a habit not a chore and Your tools are your friends! Both from a plasterer funnily enough.

think i made my point!! Bloody technology!
