I love getting hold of dryliner's buckets when they're finished with them, good for water and big floors but for normal usage a good 10l adhesive bucket is hard to beat.

The squad I served my time with never washed out buckets, always tapped them out when the adhesive set - you usually got a week or two out of a bucket before the apprentice put the hammer through the side of it. Amazing the time you save yourself in the day by washing a bucket clean at home time.

Just last week I had to throw my glue bucket of 5 years away.
Did aa job for a very wealthy client ,had to use quickset mixed alittle too much up , had nowhere to throw and the drive home was 90 mins,

Now my 5 year old water bucket has taken its place and i have a new clean bucket in the stable as well.

Im not tight, just got attached to my buckets , weve done plenty of jobs together and made lots of money.

You're all making me feel bad now! I go through them weekly! Although I have had my BAL one for a couple of months but only because I filled it with fixings and haven't got round to emptying it

Great forum. Its funny how we can get attached to buckets and maybe trowels but rarely get the same level of fondness for a level or nippers.

R.I.P mate, and when you feel right and had time to reflect. Get out there and get your self a new, younger, fitter bucket with a strong bottom and a tight handle. Itll knock 5 years off ya
