Default gemini young stone porc tiles

Anyone had experience of these Chinese produced tiles? I am doing an en-suite with these on floor and walls. They are extremely hard porcelain (porcellanetto). I had to give up on the Big Clinker after 2 attempts, then made all cuts on wet cutter but even with a new upgraded 180 mm disc on the Vitrex I still get small chips on the cut. Can anyone recommend a good 180mm disc which will give a better edge on these?

    Hi mate,
I'm just busy finishing a 35m2 bathroom - walls and floor - with the exact same tile....

Aye, you're right they are very hard

I've been using my TS40+ for the short cuts and as I have set a full tile up from the floor I have only one course of long cuts around the ceiling....

... my standard TS60 will not snap them at all, but i've ordered a tx700n which I should get this Friday, so i'm leaving those cuts till I get my new machine.

I've been using a cheap and nasty 180mm wet wheel for the 'l' cuts which just takes a bit longer than I would hope, but a good wheel like the Montolit DNA from TT or a Marcrist will fly through them...

I'm tempted to put the job in for JOTM actually coz the tiles look really good

Baulking at £100+ for montolit dna. Is it worth twice as much at the Marcrist CK850?

CK850 always been spot on for me, but know a few of the lads on here complain of chipping...

Like I said previously the one I'm using on the Youngstone this week is just the cheap one you get with the Plasplugs Master Tiler-no chipping whatsoever.....I couldnt be bothered to take my big machine, but my master is playing a blinder.
And I get my TX700N on Friday, so everything is sweet as....

Got the rubi TS40 plus delivered today only ordered it 1pm yest. All in £153, pretty good, and it does the vertical cuts lovely, wish I had it ages ago.
Meanwhile, still wondering about wet blade, surely if a Master Tiler blade cuts it nicely, I don't need to spend £100+ on a new blade.......
    Any suggestions, anyone???

Well done on getting the ts40+ mate - you won't regret it

Just finished the tiling on my Youngstone job today - used my Marcrist PG850 hole cutting kit for the pipework and it punctured the tiles PERFECTLY no chipping and no messing, flew through like they were butter

Had to do the long cuts with my standard ts6o by scribing them with the machine and using my cutting hammer to tap the back of the tile and split it - no probs

    Grouting tomorrow

I don't need to spend £100+ on a new blade.......
    Any suggestions, anyone???
