Mirak washboy 15 quid plus postage
Hi all,
Just thought i´d let you all know that someone on Tbay is selling these Mirak washboys with metal grill and a micro fiber sponge for 15 quid plus postage. Says he´s got about 200 of them.
I bought one and used it for the first time this afternoon, I´m well happy with it. But having said that this washboy is my first one and the first one i´ve ever used but in my opinion far better than a sponge.
Just thought i´d let you know seeing as it´s so inexpensive.

Re: Mirak washboy 15 quid plus postage
I bought a Mirak a couple of years ago. For the money it's a good investment as it will last well if you look after it, just remember to clean it properly!

Bought the same one off eBay. Don't really rate it, flimsy and made from thin plastic, mine cracked a few times. Better off spending the extra 20 quid and getting the higher quality product.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for, speaking of which CTD are doing the Rubi washboy for £43 ish on speacial, I don't like the look of them myself though

Re: Mirak washboy 15 quid plus postage
The last ruby one I had was my nemesis, had to fill it to the top as the grate sat very about an inch and a half from the rim, not much fun trying to carry it up the stairs

How'd you do that ??? was it your fault or design fault?? if the latter i'm sure you could claim for new one

No idea Joe mate - just used it as I have used them for years and a 2 to 3 inch split appeared in the bottom...
I just siliconed a plastic patch over and it has held out so far, but would deffo look at other makes in the future...
