I wouldnt bother with any laser level less than £100. i know some would disagree but IMO you get what you pay for.
There are different types of laser levels too and what you really want is a self levelling system. Some of the cheaper models only project a line around teh room and you still need to level the unit 1st.
I have a Dewalt 087 which has the self levelling capability which is easy as putting the unit onto a flat surface or screwing the adaptor to the wall...or if you have some metal handy it even has a magnetic. You then turn on and you have a level line, it also projects a vertical line too or even both at the same time..All in all a good piece of kit.
Others may be along to shout out for their preferred brand later.
Tradetiler Tiling Setting Out and Tile Marking have some nice models too

I think I would prefer a rotary self levelling laser that would shoot a line right around the room - but they are crackers daft money......

I sort of bought the Dewalt DW807k today
I had seen my mates and was very impressed with, not least because of its size and the carry case it comes in which is always important. So I’ve been thinking about getting it for a few months now and as soon as I saw Sir Ramics post I thought sod it, I’ll get it!

So I head over to Toolstation.com to try them out, which I believe has had some investment from Travis and is trying to get in on Screwfix's market. I make the order and give a site address for delivery but when I print out the invoice it shows my registered address as delivery too, so I ring them up to change it and they say oh no your order is not going through because you have to show us some identification before will deliver"... hang on a minute you took my order and payment and from the e-mails I’ve received it says you are delivering tomorrow at what point were you going to tell me this! They say because it's a high value order (£200 is a small business order in my book) I have to jump through hoops to get it. Needless to say I cancelled my order.

But come tomorrow I shall be going down my local supplier and getting it.

Now I see dagger has got it, so i take it's quite popular with you guys?

Agree with Sir Ramic. You get what you pay for. My 1st (cheap) laser level was by far the biggest waste of money I've spent. I've not replaced it yet but shall be digging deep when I do.

I know some may say i am sucking up to tradetiler but he has a knack of supplying quality gear. So i would say that the item mentioned would be well up to the job, David (Tradetiler ) was a tile fixer for many years so he knows what we need.
Having never used those type of lasers i have no 1st hand experience and it may just come down to a case of "are you a dewalt man or a Bosch man " ?

If your set on the Dewalt I'm sure if you give tradetiler a ring he would be able to source one for you, he sells Dewalt saws etc
worth a phone call at least

I went to one of my tool suppliers today to get the Dewalt as they said they had it stock when I got there they couldn't find it so they offered me the Bosch as they said that they sell as many of those as the Dewalt, So I had a look, first thing I noticed that put me off was it doesn't come in a hard case like the Dewalt but a soft pouch, Not the best if you are going to put in the back of the van. Turned it on and lined it up with one of the steel pillars in the shop, everybody in there cracked up laughing! Either the building was just about to fall down or this thing was seriously un-calibrated! So it didn't give me much confidence to be honest.

I know it was probably just a faulty one as Bosch are good tools in general (Blue label, not green) but I went over the other side of town to get the Dewalt as the hard case is a must for me, I’ve been playing with it all day
