Had one of these cutters for about 3 years now and for the money you can't go wrong. Never let me down and replacement blades are easy to come by. The only downside I've come across is that you do tend to get wet from the water splashing from the blade no matter how much water is in the tank (I now cover up with an old dustsheet to avoid the wet look crotch!)
Hope I can source another once when it eventually packs up

I have the big one with the ali bed. I like the fact that the recirculation water system keep pretty much all the water in the cutter, means with care you can use it indoors no problem. When quite new mine had a slight leak from one of the two vent type holes on the sides, water was getting in via the internal reservoir, its all just snapped together and it was going via one of the seams – I took the top filler flap / 45 degree plate off and put plenty of silicon sealer around anywhere I thought could leak, been perfect since then and I would do the same to any new recirculation cutter I get. The plasplugs are excellent value for money really sad to see them go under. The original blade is junk, its ok for ceramics but for porcs just stick a proper blade in there – sorted! Mine has done hundreds of hours of work without complaint. I have no idea why other popular wet cutters are not designed like Plasplugs – even Rubi has the stupid little tray that puts water all over the place – why? Hope someone buys up the plasplugs tooling, we need wet cutters you can use indoors.
I've got one. pucker easy to clean. I use in for ceramics rather than my ND180 because it neater
i think the water reservour system is the best i have ever seen,
no water spillage.
i had the metal bed one and it was brill,
i broke it and i cant find another one, as plasplugs went skint!
but for a startup great, and for a fully fledged tiler who does not want to get the big guns out for whatever reason, also brill!

Hi mate i live near gateshead and i am after a plasplugs master tiler wet cutter and a decent trim mitre box, i see you have a branch at team vally retail park do you stock the above . thanks .john
I have the Master Tiler (metal bed), and have no complaints. Still on the original wheel, although it'll only go through ceramic now.. Have to use my mates cutter for porcelain and stone at the moment, although that would be easily rectified by putting a nice new Rubi blade on it.... I will get around to it one day lol!![]()
Hi i am looking for a plasplugs master tiler i know they used to retail at about 130 pounds ,i am having trouble finding one . does anyone know of a simmilar cutter for that money . john

I hear Plasplugs have started up again but not sure how long before stock is available. B&Q are selling Vitrex cutters which look very similar.

I got the Marcist blade from trade tiller £ 39.09 inc p&p it will not go straight in a wet Plasplugs cutter I think the blade for the plasplugs plus cutter is 110mm the marcist is 115mm were the wheel fits in if you use a small file and file some of the plastic away it will fit and the wheel works fine so you can cut with a dry wheel on a wet cutter![]()

I thought we were talking about the cutter with the 180mm wheel ?

I use the contractor plus model and have had about 3 years out of mine. Cant fault it really, looks like a toy but fire it up and its a real beast, far more powerful then all the other budget cutters available.
Plasplugs has just been taken over by qep? or something similar so im sure we'll be seeing.... actually just had a look and found this QEP, 60088 - 7" Professional Tile Saw.
Looks very similar!
B and Q stock the blades if anyones interested, I've been using the turbo stone blade for 3 weeks and its ok but abit thick.
