I got several toold from Aldi - they excellent value - some probably not tough enough for the pro user but I am renovating a house so the tools get quite a bit of hammer and not let me down yet. I got cordless drill (18v), table saw, 4 inch grinder, jigsaw and circular saw. The lot probably not much more than £150. The jigsaw was £8.99 and I use it and abuse it all the time

i still have mine, it vibrates (in your hands) more than the fein,
this can be uncomfortable if you have a lot to do!

if you only need a tool to cut back the odd frame then the bosch (green) = el chepo would be my choice.

plus i purchared a grout removal blade for my fein recently, £35.00

the (almost) same blade for the bosh was £24.99

    buy cheap buy twice!

it might be good if it's only used every 2 months but i wouldn't suggest it for everyday use!

    nor would I Dave
like i say i have a first gen fein and the Lion pro range bosch cordless and probably over £300 quids worth of blades and stone polishing pads.

but i am a tool junkie who can afford it, some new starters can't.

i have a fein multimaster and a (green) diy,not (blue) professional Bosch,
for the amount of use i get from these tools i would opt for the green Bosch all day long, cheaper blades, and i dont use it much use really!
great tools, both do the job!

abeit the bosch is slower....but cheaper!

the good thing with the first gen fein is it takes the bosch blades, so you can benifit from the cheaper bosch blades.

went and got one too, it seems fine and as regards quality the 3 year warranty covers it so who cares if it burns out in 2 years time !
