Default cutting out for pipe work

HI all, have got a job on tomorrow tiling a floor in an ensuite, there is 15mm crome rad pipes coming out of the floor, which have the stop ends on .(compression fittings)which makes the hole cuts bigger than 15mm.Have bought a selection of porsa drills to do these holes should i try and cut the holes and feed the tile over the compression fittings which would leave a bigger hole than the 15mm crome or cut a bit out the tile and put a bit back in any advice would be great, pipes are live.

If the pipework is nice and close to the wall..........cut a u shape out of it, and put a piece behind.

If not.......its a 33mm hole over the top.

Either way you can use these pipe collars to tidy it up

sometimes towel rail feeds tend to be about 3 inch off the wall .if so why not lay a full tile close to the pipe and a3 inch cut notched out with the wet cutter behind the pipes.as long as you have a decent size cut at other side of room.dont even have to get drill out

Do you know how to drain the system down so that you can remove the compression joints?

you cant solder chrome pipe, so you have to use compression fittings or speed fit (plastic).
if the tile covers the height of the compression fitting when the tile is drilled then cj has my vote, cut the hole at 35mm and use a cover!

however, if you can drain down you can solder on some copper pipe and use rad snaps (chrome coated plastic that covers for 15mm pipe).
