Default Fein Multimaster

HI, Been looking at the Fein Multimaster and was woundering if it is any good? Is this a popular item that most tilers use. Noticed it has a silicon removing blade. To remove old silicon around a bath is a real pain, but will it mark the bath taking off the old mastic. Thanks Jeff.

Fein is one of the best things you'll every buy - you'll wonder how you managed without it. Never used it for removing silicon so can't comment about that.

Main uses I use it for are removing the bottom of architrave so a tile can go underneath, cutting/removing grout to replace tiles, scraping old adhesive off, removing vinyl floor tiles, have also used it to take a small amount off a plastic strip, cutting metal, sanding, cutting hole in plasterboard, removing part of a tile in situ, polishing natural stone.

The thing I like most about the tool is that you'll just keep thinking of uses for it.

Hi, I have now invested in a Fein Multimaster. I had a job for a client who wanted a bathroom re-grouting. I would not normally take on re-grouting as I find it is a job best left for someone else to do! it's a pain!!! I have to admit that the Fein made light work of it, cutting out the narrow joints and with very little damage to the tile edges. With little or no dust afterwards, I was well pleased and supprised with the Fein. Regards, Jeff. Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

I've had one 5 years. You can cut out the extra for tiles to sit behind cornices, door trim etc, wouldn't be without it.
