Hi
I have a plasplugs master tiler & the supplied blade really struggles with hard porcelain and stone, I have a few jobs coming up envolving stone & porcelain so i'm thinking of getting a new blade for it.
Do I need a separate cutter for stone & porcelain as I've used markrist blades on cutters before & they were great on stone but when i used them for ceramics they chipped the glaze along the cut making the cut messy?
Can anyone recommend a blade that would be a great all rounder or should i get 2 different cutters one for stone & porcelain & one for ceramics so i don't have to keep changing blades?
Thanks in advance
Matt

Matt | As far as i'm aware I think Rubi do a compatable blade for the master tiler.
Aldi were doing a twin blade pack really cheap 7 quid ok as long as you take it really slow but I dont think they will last somehow , dug me out of a hole though when my Plasplugs blade decided to go on strike.
ALDI was just round the corner and I always have a wee wonder round looking for a bargin ( tools to wine )

On cheap ceramic I've had chips with a dry cutter and the wet one, good quality tiles have been no problem, never used a cpc blade but Dave rates them. Oh and Doug as well

I think the marcrist will be great on stone, as it's not glazed, but i found that it chipped the glaze off ceramic and porc, altho it really did fly through the porc tiles

right i'm off to the thread on here about the best wet cutters.
thanks all
