Hard hat and 14lb sledge hammer.........
joking of course.....It will be quicker to remove the whole lot, tiles and plasterboard...
take you time and just remove in sections....hammer and bolster works fine...![]()

Hello thevinnyofoz,
I've always used a SDS+ Pneumatic chipping hammer with a sharp large chisel. This does the job quickly and of course wear the PPE to protect your eyes, ears hands and feet...
Try to maintain a slow angle to the wall to avoid damaging it!
Try to put a rubber basket under the tiles that you chip away, this will reduce the amount of debris to retrieve from the floor.
Hope this will help you!
Rogo
Hammer and bolster.

Sds on floors and sand/cement fixed tiles on walls, hammer and bolster for most other stuff
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes"
Thanks for the advice, was considering dynomite as ive counted 700 tiles in this bathroom
Will try the softer approach instead.
Cheers

I bought one of these before Christmas and removing tiles was easy, left adhesive which I removed with a steam wallpaper stripper, not to much damage to the palster underneath.
P.T.Profiles Ltd. - TILE REMOVING TROWEL
Used an SDS once but the plaster on the other side of the wall fell off as well.
If you do a search for it you can get it cheaper.

Hi,
The tool I use is called Young John!
Had it for over 10years and it works every time.
Drop it off at the job with the instructions - Strip those tiles - and when I come back its done!
The only drawback is it needs feeding daily and expects a wage at the end of each week!
John.
