Anybody got any experience of these cutters.
Got a job coming up with very big limestone.
Was looking at the Rexon CT1150 from screwfix.
Any ideas?

try this from trade tiler our forum sponsor...................................Tradetiler Makita Cordless Tile Cutter

I have seen them but only any good if the motor is strong enough and a suitable blade for the material you are cutting....
Tradetiler sells a better quality make of similar machine..

You say a very big limestone, how big ???

Makita Power Saw (110v only)
Wet cutting hand held power saw from Makita (can be used dry with suitable blade)
- Water fed to both sides of blade
As every day goes by, tiles seem to be getting even bigger this can be a big problem when it comes to wet cutting. The traditional machines become so heavy and expensive they are not viable. With the use of a straight edge clamped on the tile/slab accurate cuts can easily be achieved.
Accurate free hand cuts can also easily be achived
Highly suited to grout raking by reducing the depth of cut
- Electrical earth leakage breaker
- Blade Diameter: 125mm - Bore: 20 mm
- (we include ring to make standard 22.2mm blades fit)
- Depth of Cut @ 90°: 40mm
- Depth of Cut @ 45°: 26mm
- No Load Speed: 12,000rpm
- Input wattage: 860w
- Net Weight: 2.9kg
- 110v only (because of water)
- 5 M water feed tube, rubber tap fitting
Included - Continuous rim blade rated for concrete - suitable some stone, travertine and marble. However we recommend a suitable tile blade is purchased separately

Price: £255.30 £293.60 Including VAT

just thought i would point him in the right direction,as you say Dave thats a better cutter.
It's limestone 900mm long, 20mm thick![]()

trade tiler is the dogs noblies but i have the rexon cutter and it will cut your 20mm ls no problem, the makita is a much better tool but 3 times the cost.you will be unlikely to use the tool much so think about it before you shell out![]()

Will the rexon cut 900 long
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes"

it will cut as long as the flex cable will reach, its a circular saw for tiles, use the fence or a straight edge clamped to the work piece
