Norton TT200 EM
Just thought I would let you guys know my thoughts regarding the above wet saw.
Purchased at christmas from CTD and used for the 2nd time only last week. I have to say that I am quite impressed for what is essentially a low cost piece of kit. The tiles I cut last week were Pietre de Keope solid body porcelain. I knew they did not cut well on a dry cutter because of the heavy riven surface not allowing a consistant deep score so decided all was to be wet cut.
Well, I used the standard diamond Norton blade that came with the saw and it had absolutely no problem cutting these tiles ( saw even comes with a spare!). Only small issue I have is that the guide rules are not fitted in the right place on my saw, the front gauge being 2mm out to the left of the blade as you look at it. The rear was fine. Couldn't understand at first why cuts were getting tighter as you ran through the blade. Quick check with the tape and all was revealed. Now know to compensate when fitting the guide and, bobs your uncle, easy cuts.
Comes in a big plastic case that I use to double as a table also. Quite substantial at 19kg and the motor seems plenty powerful enough for small tiles.
Interesting blades the Norton ones. Will keep them in mind when I need to buy new for my other saws.
