Keep hearing that plasplugs have gone bust but can't seem to find much news on it - a shame if its true though of course.
I'm looking for a new wet cutter though was kinda saving up for the master tiler - any advice on another brand OR should i wait for the inevitable fire sale and get a plasplugs at potentially bargain basement prices?

We are speaking to the Editors of newspapers and they are (off the record) telling us its all over for Plasplugs.
We are offering jobs to the right people so hoping to help out.

Good to see your business expanding Richard and well done for offering the plasplugs employees the chance of employment.

I've got the Virtex from Topps, the only drawback is it has a 16mm spindle, but I use a company who makes diamond blades to order.

Re: The end of plasplugs? Which wet cutter?
I bought a little rubi for 90 quid out of tile depot, didn't like it at first but its quality now.
Ain't the most powerful but with a good blade it does the damage.

Re: The end of plasplugs? Which wet cutter?
haha! thats true... Perhaps I should pay in rice!
Actually we are speaking to a couple of their marketing people. Lee Brown at RECART has been quite helpful and we obviously only want people based here in this country!
We need them to follow up the interest from retail via our full page ad in The Sun on 5th March so hoping to capitalise on those leads.
Recently Karl (one of our sales reps at Arctic-Products) won the contract for us to supply Corgi via their printed catalogue which goes out to over 10,000 fitters.
If Plasplugs do fold then we are hoping to still keep people employed here in Britain and perhaps take over some of the accounts.
