Cutting Terracotta-jigsaw?
Hi
Got a small terracotta floor coming up, the tiles are 25mm thick. I was wondering wouldnt it be possible to cut them with a jigsaw? Has anyone ever done that?
It'd cause less dust and be quicker than using a manual saw.
cheers

Re: Cutting Terracotta-jigsaw?
How would it cause less dust...use your wet saw...and clean tiles as you cut..

Re: Cutting Terracotta-jigsaw?
Its not always convienient to use a wet cutter. Rip saws are supposed to be good to cut terracotta.
I was curious to know if it was possible to use a jigsaw, it'd be less dusty compared to a grinder as I can attach a hoover to the jigsaw!

Re: Cutting Terracotta-jigsaw?
i wouldnt use a jigsaw the blade will be knackered in no time i would use a wet cutter prefferably less dust or an angle grinder will cut them pretty easily but be prepared to turn orange
