That's one very expensive batton kit that seems to me as though you have to screw and plug it to the walls?!?! Pointless product if I'm thinking it does what I would have done in seconds with wooden strips (battons) and a few nails.
I know setting out is very important, but if I had to plug and screw battons to all the walls first, then tile them and unscrew them all again.
I used old bathtub feet and bolted one on either end of a level and the weight of the tiles holds it to the wall and it give you a buble to check lower level with and also nuts you adjust with if it's out. You can move it from wall to wall in an instant and it cost me £3.99 to make (the cost of the cheap level I drilled through at both ends).
As long as wood and a level is around - that system is just another fancy useless system made by either a tiler who had trouble with an easy task or somebody who isn't a tiler at all.
IMO.

much better

Thanks for the replies. I like the bathfeet idea. You're right about the cost of the stringa level but it was going to be bought for me as a 'pressy' for xmas but I'll point them in another direction - perhaps the rubi batten stand.

i use rubi batten stands and use my spirit levels as i dont trust wood as it can bend even if it starts out straight. its too much greif

A long level and 2 piles of sand will also work.2Balls
Stick ya battens to the wall with double sided tape, a 10cm length every 50cm, works a treat.... and no more drilling into cables n pipes ...........
