Spiked Rollers now at Trade Tiler
At last our favourite tiling tool supplier Trade Tiler has spiked rollers, for anyone who levels floors these are a must.
Its another tool that i wouldnt be without now. It will get rid of air bubbles and leave a beautiful smooth floor and that means less hassle when it comes to tiling.

Re: Spiked Rollers now at Trade Tiler
Thta's good news but the spiked roller won't do the job on it's own. Any chance of some wiping blades to compliment the rollers Dave?

Re: Spiked Rollers now at Trade Tiler
Very true Sully, i havent used "wiping blades", i just trowel over using Mapei leveller, which i feel is the best leveller i have ever tried and then roller it over. Its given me better floors than ever before but always willing to try a better method....so what do you say David ? Wiping blades ?

Re: Spiked Rollers now at Trade Tiler
I used to do that too - but after using wiping blades, I can only say that troweling levelling compound compares to applying butter on toast with a shovel. No offence intended but the blades really are the way to go. Get hold of some - they make the world of difference
.

Hi ramic, you say that mapei is the best leveller you have used. What other types have you used? My mate swears by BALL stopgap, this is the one i also use but its the only one i have ever used have you tried it.
If so, how does it compare?

Re: Spiked Rollers now at Trade Tiler
i use stopgap but only cause my nearest shop sells it, i dont rate it. utzin is better although i have only used it once so probably not a good enough test.
