Makita wet tile saw
The makita wet tile saw from TradeTiler.Ltd Recent Updates and New Products has me thinking !. Is it me or does the wheel spin backwards. i know as long as the wheel travels in the direction the wheel manufacturer states then it should cut correct but i have always thought the best cut was acheived by the wheel going down through the face of the tile 1st instead of the way this looks, which would be cutting from under the tile.....if you see what i mean.
If you were drilling a tile you would through the face 1st and out the back wouldnt you ??
I think i think to much....i think !

Re: Makita wet tile saw
It cuts the same way that the Makita cordless saw does and that can make perfect cuts. Tiling Logistics will be able to give a good review. He’s has had one a while now.
I see where you are coming from. Wood saws suffer more from this problem I think

Re: Makita wet tile saw
Are you refering to the signs which could, by some stretch of imagination, be interpreted as direction arrows? Cuz that's pretty much the only possible indicators of rotational direction I can see.

Re: Makita wet tile saw
Yes the arrows on the cutting wheel are rotation arrows.

Re: Makita wet tile saw
nice to see a powerful handheld is available atlast.
i have a dewalt handheld tile cutter on test thats not available in europe yet. its 1500watts and very similar to the makita apart from the fact it would probably cost half as much! im yet to properly test it but if i didnt have the honour of testing it then id defo buy the handheld makita as some of my best work is from using the battery powerd makita
i think this design of cutter is great tho as i cant justify buying a big wet cutter thatll only cut up to 600mm and anything bigger is to heavy for one guy

well you'd end up chipping face of tile if it was coming up from back
