Tradetiler of course![]()

Cheapest place is ebay - I paid about £150 for mine a month or so ago (the plus kit). However, the saving isn't that great - and Dave at Tradetiler is better looking![]()
Beware the Fein tho. Great at cutting wood - but the blades melt when they look at anything else. They really hate metal and most other materials, from my brief experience. Still worth the money tho, cause for the awkward jobs that they can do - they are priceless.

There is an offer of a similar machine from bosch at about forty quid.(b&q stock it) although not as versatile stil worth a look

hi andy, do you know if its as heavy duty as the fein? link would be great if you have one mate
there are quite a few of the multi tools from bosch, dremmel etc but alot have tiny little blades when you cut anything tougher than cardboard!
I have one, they take same blades as fein.

Monty what do you think of it? I saw it a while ago and have loads of uses, some of which i never even imagined!!! Never used a fein but looks similar. There was a thread on here a while back and i think swe(sorry if its not you) posted something about the vibration and if i remember correctly it came of better

interesting that its the same blades as fein seeing as its 1/3 of the price.
i may have to invest in onecheers andy & monty
I've only used it a few times Andy....its great cutting door frames.. There is quite alot of vibtration though.

Argos do a version too its made by Worx and if yo look on Ebay in the next hour there is one for sale, current bid £25. No idea what its like or anything about the blades though.
I will stick with my Fein, nice well made tool.
The Fein is built like a tank - very good quality. But the blades do melt like butter - so be careful with them. Especially as they cost an arm and a leg.

I got a fein from tradetiler a couple of weeks ago. Great machine. But I was disappointed when. I opened the box to find none of the standard fein attachments, which come with every new fein. The tiling kit it does come with is ok. If I hadn't needed it ASAP I would have sent it back and got the full kit for 60 quid more from my local dealer. He could not believe it when I told him. I'm get a lot of stuff from Dave at tradetiler and will continue to do so.![]()
I think he's got one now mate, he was after one in October 2008.
Happens all the time mate, don't worry about it.

Met this fella at the NEC few weeks ago, his name is Steve Austin area sales manager for the midlands for Fein.

trade tiler for my one , great tool![]()
be good at 1 thing ,not average at lots
It's got to be the fein, I have used mine not for just taking the bottoms of door frames and skirting, removing grout, sanding and I even used the scraper a few weeks back on that horrible black glue they use to fit parquet.
You can't go wrong with trade tiler
