Rubi DW250 and Rubi CPC2 wheel
I have had my Rubi cutter for a while now and i have always liked it apart from where they located the on and off switch. Its always cut great as long as you let the wheel cut at its own pace. Recently i upgraded teh wheel with a Rubi CPC2 porcelain wheel from Tiletrader.
The 1st time i tried it was saturday on 600x300 porcelanato tiles. i had to place a mitred edge along about 60 tiles on the 300mm edge. So i set it up to just give a mitre and leave a very small part of the original finished edge, so the mitre wasnt leaving a sharp edge. When i lifted the tile to check the quality of cut i was amazed...not only because it left a beautiful mitre but on the bed of the machine was the off cut from the tile. This was about 7mm thick and also beautifully mitred too.
As a matter of interest i also cut tiles with more pressure than i did with original wheel and that was great too.
I was watched by all other trades on the site and everyone agreed it was the dogs danglies.
So if you have a cutter that needs a new wheel soon, get in touch with David at Tradetiler.com.

It did now and again on long tiles (600mm) with standard wheel if i pulled the motor through too fast. Nothing like that with this new wheel.
